SPSF Meadow Sub: Bellevue Station Kitbash

One of the structures I have been wanting to get around to in the last year is my centerpiece passenger station, The Bellevue Station.  I finally had a chance to start it and finish it in the last month.  This blog entry details the information behind the station and provides a gallery of photos during construction.

My first module - Installing the bridge

Now it's time to install the bridge.

Here is my Exactrail 50' girder bridge weathered lightly with AIM Products powders finally glued in place.  I also added more weathering to the abutments.

Wilmington Yard

Now that Elsmere Junction is pretty well in, time to move on to Wilmington Yard.  The yard is recycled from my previous layout.  It has a main, runner, 5 yard tracks, a caboose track, scale track and lead.  There were a few industry tracks on the back side of the yard, across the main.  Originally only #1 track was double ended, that has been expanded in the new design to 2 double ended and 3 stub class tracks.  All tracks are class tracks, I don't have designated A&D tracks, but normally the yardmasters use the runner, #1 and now #2.

Christmas Trin on the SP South

Hi.

Christmas Train on my SP South Layout in South Africa.

I built the train for my granddaughter who celebrates her first Christmas this year.

The sound files are loaded on a Soundbug decoder in a the second dummy unit.

I have converted mu old Athearn units to dummy lococ with Soundbug deocders for realism. I add sound files for the appropriate loco.

Regards

The Train of Life

Train of Life (unknown Author)
At birth, we boarded the train of life and met our parents, and we believed that they would always travel by our side. However, at some station, our parents would step down from the train, leaving us on life's journey alone.
As time goes by, some significant people will board the train: siblings, other children, friends, and even the love of our life.
