Kitbashing a tired old AHM kit into something new.
I needed a yard office for the west end of the yard on my layout. I dug through my stash of the old and forgotten kits and parts and found this old AHM station in pieces and poor disrepair. This building was on one of my original layouts as a teenager and hasn't seen the light of day in 30 years.

Ride along on the Hitop Mine Run/Part 1....
Morning starts bright and early in Dickinson, in the Kanawha valley of West Virginia. Blue collar families are all wide awake and stirring as the sun comes up, including those who make the early morning run over to Sam and Mickey’s for breakfast.

New Bright Holiday Express Animated Train Set
Hello, to all train owners,
I have a New Bright Christmas Animated Train set. I have also purchased 3 additional cars for my train. I am having an issue with the sound. The train lights up and runs perfect but, it no longer makes the sound. What is a possible problem and solution for this? Thank you for any help.

Everything old is new again
I'm building a layout after a quarter century hiatus from model railroading. Life got very busy for a while and I didn't have the time to deal with maintaining or building a layout. Now I'm older and things have slowed down and I have a new granddaughter. Some of my favorite memories as a child where running trains with my grandfather. He always took the time to explain how things worked on the model railroad and taught me how to use tools. I want to do the same for my little granddaughter.
Long Time No Post
Well, summer was....summer, and then I shot my modelling in the foot by enrolling for a BA program (because two degrees aren't enough, apparently) and even a half-load of courses eats up the week. But I finally got my transfer terminal hooked up to the mainline last week. Here ACR 160 sets out a pair of container cars on the back track. There's already a boxcar inside on the front track:
