Ashland Maine

Here's a few photos of Ashland, a small shelf switching layout built to show off my Brownville and Ashland Railway custom painted locos and stock. All of the locos and most of the freight cars are by Southern Tier Modelworks and the crane was made by Smokebox Graphics. The layout itself is 6ft long by 14" wide with a 4ft fiddleyard and a small run off at the other end to help with switching.

New Field Engine Terminal

Florida Highland Railroad has finally moved into its new engine facility
Built by good friend Richard New, the New Field facility, which is just south of Orlando, is now ready to supply motive power to the newly acquired former CSX A line.

Florida Highland Fleet as of November 2015

Hi all
just like to share a quick video of my growing fleet for the Florida Highland Railroad
The FHRR is my freelance addition to the Pinsly railroad operations in Florida. The idea behind it is that the FHRR links all five Pinsly shortline from Newberry in the north with Lake Wales in the south via old abandoned lines. Their HQ are based in Highland City FL.

Florida Midland Railroad's Bartow Airport Industrial Park

After spending a couple of days recording Florida Midland Railroad operations at Bartow Airport Industrial Park, I've been playing around with the idea of having go at reproducing it in HO scale as a freemo module. This is what I've come up with,

It will be extended by 4 feet on the right hand side, which will hold the loco spur

This is what I'm trying to achieve

Shoving platforms at HIP

Some photos of one of the shoving platforms used at Highland Industrial Park. This one is a Bluford Transfer Caboose weathered by a good friend Seven Williams but it is currently out of action with a faulty truck

Since it has been weathered the screw hold the one truck on doesn't want to go back in square.

The shoving platforms are used due to the limited view round the sharp curve as the train is pushed under the Hw17 bridge from the yard.
