It all ends up in the bin again!

I got back from the Supertrain show in Calgary, Alberta on Monday.  It was very enjoyable to catch up with people I haven't seen in a while.  I had opportunity to see many excellent modular layouts as well as operate on a very nicely done N scale home layout.  My photo sales were good as well, justifying the long trip.  I drove to and from the show with my friend Chris.  11 hours of driving each way gives plenty of time to cover many subjects, sometimes several times.

the question says it all. Is that possible.

I am looking for some help identifying sources for HO scale figures and scenery detail items. I have repeatedly searched the web and the advertisers for figures that I have seen in various photos both here and on Facebook. But I do not find anything but the "standard" Presser and Woodland Scenics people and building interior items like desks, chairs etc.

Has anyone tried the Rapido Railcrew uncouplers? I can't get mine to work. The magnets are supposed to rotate out of the uncoupling position and nothing moves when I activate the toggle switch. The LED lights up, and the panel LED stays lit, but no movement from the magnets. 

I hard wired everything, since I could not figure out their connector plug. I used a 12V 300ma power supply at first, then replaced that with a 12V 500ma power supply. They say 500ma minimum. Maybe I need more power to the coils? 

Any input appreciated. 

I spent some time yesterday touching up the paint on the track and then weathering up the rail. The next step will be to add some details to the switches and track to bring up the realism. I also need to finish up the structures for these modules, but that is not high on the propriety list right now.

I represent an elderly client that has a large train set up that is digitally controlled.  I'm trying to help him get rid of it so we can sell his house.  We understand there's little value and will be difficult to dispose of but I'm hoping someone could give us some suggestions or someone may have an interest.  This is my first post & I'll try to post a photo.

Any ideas if it serves any special purpose?

So, this weekend we worked on preparing our new house for move in, in June. There are a huge amount of pro's with it shown here:

1. It is one the BNSF mainline through Hinsdale. (Includes BNSF, Metra, Amtrak, CSX, NS and some others)

2. My Room has a view of the tracks

3. Finished Basement (Any tips on getting my parents on board?)

Some things I saw this weekend: A New style autorack, Citirail engine, a patchover BN SD-40, A lower height bulkhead/wood flatcar.
