Testing out some track placement for the layout, which will eventually be called the "Dry Fork Coal & Timber"

I need help with a modeling project which I know is an old one. I have two Broadway Limited D&RGW C-16 which I would like to superdetail and bring them up to the same standard as the MMI C-19.

This means getting rid of the plastic moulded pipework and replacing fittings with castings and I remember seeing an article some while ago about doing just that. Does anyone have any knowledge of that article and point me in the right direction in finding it.

I’ve not been very good at keeping you guys updated about this project. I keep taking piccies and I just can’t get around to doing the blogging bit. I should be more of an exhibitionist, I’m not built that way. In the intervening time since my last post, I’ve played around with it, sorted one or two things out, and finally sorted out what the benchwork is going to look like.

No this is not HO. This is an 0n30 2-6-6-2, that i picked up at a train show one month ago. i know that my first post said something about Conrail, but i've tossing around the idea of doing 0 scale narrow gauge for some time. It would also allow me to be able to scratchbuild more wooden structures, which i like doing. i also own 2 more 0n30 locos with a decent amount of rolling stock.
