Question about Lionel Rolling Stock Paint Scheme
I'm looking to see if anyone knows a way to be able to strip paint off of a modern Lionel Boxcar. Thank you in advance.
DFC&T Update
It has been awhile. But I have been busy with some other projects. The first update I have, is that the enginehouse does have its roof installed.
Working on the DFC&T Engine House
After 2 months of the front wall sitting around, I finally decided to start work on the engine house for the narrow gauge. Unfortunately, I didn't take photos of the other walls being constructed.
"1952" Photo of Narrow Gauge
I haven't posted for awhile. So I decided to share this modified image I made from my smartphone.
(The reason for not posting was because of taking a short break from model railroading)
0n30. A Cheap Cop Out?
I've heard from time to time, that 0n30 is a narrow gauge rip off. Mostly from the 0n3 modelers that i've run into. But I ask you, is it really? Now i'm not defending this scale because I own 0n30. But I gave the matter some thought over the past couple of years.
0n30 Yard Work
Track is slowly being added as i'm taking my time to ensure good electrical contact and smooth rails.
0n30 Layout started
Testing out some track placement for the layout, which will eventually be called the "Dry Fork Coal & Timber"
0n30 Change?
No this is not HO. This is an 0n30 2-6-6-2, that i picked up at a train show one month ago. i know that my first post said something about Conrail, but i've tossing around the idea of doing 0 scale narrow gauge for some time. It would also allow me to be able to scratchbuild more wooden structures, which i like doing. i also own 2 more 0n30 locos with a decent amount of rolling stock.
U30B Weathering
Made my first attempt at weathering a Conrail rust look on a U30B i recently purchased.
