Mancos mine completed, glass windows

Another new blog post - this time with a ton of photos from my completed mine buildings for my town of Mancos; these are based on pair of Campbell kits.  And also - photos and descriptions of how I learned to use glass for my windows.

I'll just include one photo here, but all the rest are my blog site:

Resin Casting with Two Part Molds

A couple years back [yikes, almost a decade!], I encountered a problem with a model where a single set of rear drive wheels was absent from the box.  I wasn't so interested in the rest of the parts that were in the box at that time, but after doing more research over the years, I discovered that this vehicle which appeared to be 1:72 scale was actually the beginnings of a 1:87 M-123 kit bash using the M-25 10-ton chassis and an M-39 series cab.  When further I found out that the M-39 chassis was introduced in 1951 and the M-123 truck was introduced in 1955,

First Time Operating...

I will be participating in two operating sessions at the NMRA midwest regional convention in april. The two layouts (not sure which two yet) are an HO and an O scale one. This is my first time ever attending one and I don't want to mess up to badly so what is some recommended reading I could use? I have read through the MRR operators columns and some in MRH but am looking for some other stuff to help, whether is be tidbits you have picked up yourself or other things I would greatly appreciate it. P.S.

A Shelf Layout In Gauge One. Ontrax Exhibition Part 2.

The Ontrax exhibition is held at the Dutch National Railway Museum in Utrecht and as you can see, there are models everywhere - and real trains, too! It is a very special atmosphere for a model railway event.
