What Is This Thing?

I took this picture a few years ago. Just downloaded the SD card. It was at the St Louis Museum of Transportation. I have tried to find it on line with no luck. Help please.

Looks like a bathtub with head lights!

Custom Paint -VIA Rail RDC 6215 on the Trenton Subdivision in N Scale

When models are not available of the items you want to include on your layout, customizing is the next option.

In this photo VIA Rail 6215, an RDC 2 moves out of the engine shop area following maintenance to resume duties on the branchline.

Layout room decorating

It has been a while since my last blog post so just a quick update.  Inspite of summer related activities (yard, garden, vacation, etc.) the lower staging yard is now operable with 5 staging tracks with capacities between 12 and 21 cars plus 3 locomotives.  Troubleshooting is ongoing to ensure that trouble free operation is the norm before I cover the staging with the main level that will be home to the Flin Flon smelter.

What is this

Can anyone tell me what this building is for. It's in Irvington, KY

prototype info

I just found the Meridian Southern. Being originally from Meridian I would be interested in obtaining all the info I can about them. I'm normally a freelance guy so I have no idea how to find things like rosters and track diagrams/routing, industries served and such. I would like to see if I could develop this into a workable model layout. All help is appreciated.

Info on Rolling stock for layout era

Where can I find information about the types of rolling stock used by a particular RR during a given era? I am modeling the Union Pacific south western region during the 80s to late 90s. I am having difficulty finding a definitive list of car types typically seen on the UP line during that period.
