Dreadnought ends - variations in height

I'm looking over my Train Shed Cyclopedia on box cars. Noting the differences in AAR specs and various roads' variations over the years, I have a question on dreadnought ends. When the car height went from 9'6" or 10' to 10'6" or beyond, where was the extra height added to the ends? Was it between the ribs? At the joint? At the bottom?  At the top? Did it vary by manufacturer?

Intermodals on the Letellier (BNML)

Hi, has anybody ever seen intermodals on the CN Letellier Sub (BNML)? I have not, except for 2 images taken by my dad (with me) on August 18th, 2005, here's one of them, at Parker Ave. (Mile 0.15):

Great Northern flat car query

Does anyone out there have a photo of a GN flatcar, preferably a side view of sufficient clarity to show the general arrangement of lettering (reporting marks, number in particular)?  Ideally I'm looking for something pre-1930.

Thanks!

David

1940s America color photos online

The Denver Post has a nice feature of about 70 color photographs from America in the 40s. Great source photos, since most images from that era are b+w.  Here is the link:

The link suggests this is several years old, so maybe this has already been linked here.-

Details West Boxcar Protoype info

Hello MRH's

At the Springfield show I purchased a couple of Details West kits.  Here is a couple of pictures.  The first is a single door boxcar and the other a double door boxcar.   Does anyone know what prototype cars these are supposed to model?  Thanks for any help.

Makes me feel not-so-bad with my own trackwork!

Makes our model video cab rides look smooth!

PS - okay, so I don't know how to embed the video...

Narrow Gauge Interchange

Okay so I'm new to narrow gauge... did the west coast narrow gauge railroads interchange cars among themselves? I don't mean with standard gauge railroads but actually between narrow gauge railroads themselves?

Thanks for any info...

1/87 scale Tractor trailers.

Hi everyone , Bill Brillinger introduced me to MRH.This post is to showcase some of his decals that I had made by him. My Dad drove for a few companies in the 70's and 80's when he was laid off from his real truckin job. One of those companies was Trans Canada Truck Lines out of Toronto Ontario. I had always wanted to model some of the trucks he drove but finding someone to replicate decals was a real challenge. I was told on a Facebook modeling page about Bill and I contacted him.

Track Plan Tri-County CO-OP & Grain Elevator

I designed this Track Plan of the Tri-County CO-OP & Grain Elevator, based on the actual layout of the track, elevator and buildings.  This facility is located close to where I live. I have always been fascinated with the operation of this small industry.
