My new free downloadable Calendar 2015: US-Diesel in Action

Same procedure as last year! I like to share my free downloadable calender available at my modellcom-blog. Sorry, but the site is only in german, but you may use the translation function to get a little idea about what is going on there (railroads, real and model and cardmodeling).

The calendar is available as pdf. Print it to your desired size by choosing the printer settings.

Distance of platform from railhead?

How far from the edge of an elevated passenger platform to the outer edge of the closest rail ? I need to know so I can space my 1:1 track properly on the outside of my train building. CL line of tracks would also do. Thanks!

Station Platform Sign

While railfanning recently I notice a small sign near the end of a passenger station platform for VIA,  at about engineers height that was on a yellow background with the notation  " 1 5/6  " . Does this have something to do as a guide for car placement on the platform?

[EDIT] manufacturer names removed

STEAM LOCOMOTIVES ARE WELCOME!

Several "big names" in the model model railroading industry are MRH sponsors, so it might provide them some persuasion cheeky

Things to include would be:

What happened?!?!?

Anybody want to add to this thread with some unusual pics?  Found this one on the Internet.

That some tight radius curves!!!
