In-ko-pah Railroad

I've decided to start a thread where I can occasionally post photos of progress on my 1/24th scale In-ko-pah Railroad. I'll put the first bunch of pics in the next post...

Model Citizens is in Post-Production

I have not seen it mentioned here yet, so here it is... The model Citizens project is in Post Production and Sara is running another kickstarter to fund the final phase of the project.

Here's the pitch from the Kickstarter page:

Georgetown & Allen Mountain Railroad - Steam Loco Run By Video 5-12-15

Last week I got to visit Michael Rose while he was recovering from his recent health issues and started my visit as usual on his back porch having coffee and delicious cake (sorry no pictures) with Michael and his wife.  Michael is required to take at easy but was going a little stir crazy just sitting around.  He insisted that we go to his train room (building) and who was I to argue with him?

How can we make videos about operations more interesting?

How can we make videos about operations more interesting?

This great question was posed by Thomas Gasior on tonights YouTubeModelBuildersLive show ( www.youtubemodelbuilders.com )

I think it's a great question. What do you guys think about this?

Weekly Photo Fun - May 15th to May 21st, 2015

Great work everyone last week! However, a new weekend has begun, signaling the start of this week's photo thread! Post way!

As always, we get as much out of your in-process photos as we do the highly polished "all done" shots!

UGHHH!!! Is anyone else as absent minded as I am?

I am terribly absent minded about laying down tools and not being able to find them. This isn't really a train topic but it's happened before while working on the layout so here goes....

Milwaukee road 4-8-4 #261, what did it pull when new

I'm wondering what service type it was used for when it was built new.  I see broadway limited is releasing the 4-8-4 in Milwaukee's version and was hoping it may have pulled the Hiawatha before the E8's took over.

Thank you

A sad day in Tulsa

The Indian Nations Division has a Round Robin Tuesday work night, The Gandy Dancers, and this week instead of helping one of our group build his layout we helped him demolish his lovely layout! Sad.

Merit Badge Academy - Scouting Paychecks

In scouting, we typically get a few grumbles, and a few Scouts that say something nice, but today was a first for me.

In the mail today, I received a thank you card from a Scout for doing the Railroading Merit badge at Merit Badge Academy this past Saturday.  The scout got my address from the blue card, as he was the 1 scout from out of council in Saturday's classes.  (My classes typically fill up fast and the way the council structures sign-up, in council gets a week head start on out of council Scouts, so I don't see many out of council scouts).
