Modeling general discussion
Trainlife website
Does anyone know if the Trainlife website is still being actively managed? I tried to sign up some time ago and seem to have got myself stuck between "Account still requires admin approval" and "Account already exists", and there isn't an obvious email address to use. I note the home page says "copyright 2015", so I suppose there's hope....

Manual method for the Walthers 90' Turntable
Hi Everyone, I'd like to install a Walthers 90' turntable kit. However the budget does not allow for a power motorized one. I'd like to be able to manually rotate the table from a remote location, ideally just under the fascia.
Also, I'd like to have power to the turntable tracks to move the locomotives into the stalls.
Hope some other fellow modelers and shed some great ideas. Thanks
Greg

Hobbybench you can build.
Woodsmith Magazine has plans for a great hobby bench. It is the latest issue #219. If you are a woodworker or know of one this would be a great bench to build.
Getting Back into Hobby
I'm getting back into the hobby after a 20 year absence and how things have changed.
My fleet of locos are all DC based and most all of the freight cars have plastic wheels and horn hook couplers. I have started to buy some new stuff that have the new couplers on it. Not knowing if I wanted to stay DC or move to DCC the newer locos that I bought were DC and some have the 8/9 pin harness in them.

Stout Auctions on eBay question
Anybody have any experience with them? I wanted to bid on something and had to sign up and become approved etc. etc. which I did. I then placed a starting bid of 20 dollars. On the day of the auction I went to the item to see what was happening and I saw it ended at 130 dollars. Huh? I would not have paid that but I didn't get a chance to do anything, Very confused.
