Now that I have your attention. Anyone familiar with this comany? Found them listed on Amazon with some interesting looking backdrop photos. No idea of the quality of the product though or ease of installation. Thoughts?

HO Scale Pilot Mounted Ditch Lights

I've been scouring the web for different sources, but have not had much luck.  I had a set of the pilot mounted ditch lights from Details Associates, at least I believe they were.  These are just the housings for the front of the pilot not the top of the walkway version.  I'm using them for EMD installations on Wisconsin Central units as seen here:

Has anyone had any luck finding these or a suitable replacement from a different MFG?

Athearn Genesis HO GP38-2W Truck cover removal

I'm looking for "how-to" to remove the trucks cover on the Athearn Genesis HO GP38-2W 

I've looked at it and cannot find a "typical" clip that you gently pry out with a small screwdriver (such Proto etc..)

Here is the situation. I have a track plan and as I am laying track I see a nice looking building kit I want on the layout or multiple buildings. Which means changing the track plan some or a lot.

 Question.
 How many modelers design a layout with specific buildings-structures in mind/on hand and design the track plan to accommodate the buildings. How many layout the track plan and find/assemble or scratch build structures to fit the track arrangement? Or do most plan and build together.

Brick styrene sheets

Hey all. Need some suggestions on who has the best brick sheet styrene for HO. Evergreen has everything but brick. Need to start planning my scratch building for the Goose island layout and 99% of the buildings are brick.

Suggestions?

 

Tangent Hoppers

Hi,

    I am trying to change the couplers on my new Tangent Airslide BNSF hoppers but it would

appear that the coupler box is made in 1 piece and therefore I cannot remove the fitted KD coupler, the

coupler should be a shelf type.

Am I correct in this and if so has anyone changed the coupler?. I have emailed Tangent regarding this but

they seem not to answer emails.

We should have a way to signal to others  that we appreciate or like their photo or post. We do now, if we want to type and post. Certain social media have "like" and other forums I've seen (not model railroading) have the thumbs up or smiley face.
