HobbyKing
For the info of Canadians on the thread. I am starting to play around with servos and HobbyKing seem to be the place to go to. They state in their advertising that they supply to Canada though their US West Warehouse. They do but at US$38 for a US$3.00 item (plus the stuff the GoC slaps us with) !!! I suppose they can argue that they meet their legal obligations but!!.

Promoting the Hobby
I just wanted to find out what fellow modelers around the world are doing to promote our hobby. I definitely want to congratulate Joe Fugate and his staff for the great job they are doing promoting the hobby with MRH, TMTV, and this website and forum. I would like to point out what our local modular club, (Southeast Texas Model Railroad club) does to help promote the hobby. We attend between 5 and 9 train shows yearly in Eastern Texas, (the number is down the last two years because less shows available), and display our modular layout.

What is your hobby budget goal?
Just sitting here contemplating the amount of money and time I have been putting into the latest build of the yard for my FreemoN group. Most of the money has come from the group, so that is not a concern. The time has been a pleasure (even though it frustrates at time), but it has been taking up pretty much all of my hobby time. Not to say that I haven't diverted to working on other things while I let stuff congeal in my brain.
