3D printer to model people
I was watching a stop action video made to show off the Nokia camera phone and they explained that they used a 3D printer to create the various body positions of the character in each frame. Because they were working in 9 mm scale they needed to create a seperate figure for every movement.

Mother Nature is not to be mocked.....
You may have seen the national news mention yesterday of the Phoenix area being hammered by a huge storm that developed out of nowhere. 60 to 70 mph winds, up to 2-inches of rain in 30 minutes, and hail that ranged from cherry to tennis ball size.
I used to have a very lush and shady landscape around the pool area; now I have a somewhat interesting arrangement of mostly bare branches. ( Although the leaves, flowers, and fruit do lend texture to the patio area.) Aside from the huge clean up, it will recover next Spring if not yet this Fall.
grab irons (i hate them)
any ideas on how to make the task of installing grab irons easier? I have slightly enlarged the holes, i use a magnifier. Still, this job doesn't get any easier.

Brooklyn N Trak held one of its shows this past weekend. Here are two items you ight be interested in viewing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5e1IxeRp0E
The first is a brief film and te second is a slide show.
You might notice a hobby shop is in one of the scenes. This appears on a module built one of Brooklyn N-Traks founding members. It seems he worked at that shop after he retired. Unfortunately that shop is no longer in business so don't try to find it.
