MRH has an impact on Amazon

MRH has a free downloadable "Guide to acrylic painting".  Joe Fugate mentions some useful items (pipettes, empty bottles for mixing) and provides links to Amazon.

Add the pipettes to your cart and Amazon suggests all the items mentioned in the guide!

Homemade headlight reflector with LED

Latest project ....

A reflector with light for my narrow-gauge locomotives.

The diameter of the reflector is 4 mm. The LED is 0.5 x 1 mm.

The reflector is made out of aluminum from oven trays.

I took a nut of the right diameter and slowly pushed the aluminum with the rounded top of the hat from a ballpoint pen.

What's up with Ebay?

What's up with eBay lately? I have bought many models, locomotives, structure kits, accessories, DCC components, and rolling stock over the years on eBay, but lately the prices have been outrageous. I saw a 30 dollar Walthers lumber yard kit sell for almost 100 dollars just because it was assembled with a few added detail parts included. Most of the Walthers Cornerstone kits are of decent quality, and are great for being prototypical American buildings, but not worth triple retail.

Winterrail 2018

I'm attending Winterrail for the first time this year  I had occasionally thought about going when it was in Stockton, California, but after it moved to Corvallis, OR I had no choice - to miss a nationally known event when it was 30 or so miles away was not an option  Still  I managed to until this year

Attendance: 403
