A Norwegian grocery store for frugal hobbyists - a commercial with modeltrains
This commercial is running on norwegian television these days.
The models are HO and 1 scale, and the 1scale set up is built by Styrkar Braaathen, the same guy who built the big Scale 1 layout that the Norwegian Embassy set up every Christmas in Union Station in Washington DC.
MRH Banner
I've noticed on some blogs I see around they have been able to post the MRH banner. How is that done? I’m starting one and would like to do this. I’ll use Denny’s blog as an example.

MAGNUSON MODELS OLD KIT
I BOUGHT AN OLD MAGNUSON MODEL KIT CALLED MERCHANTS ROW. EVERYTHING IS COVERED IN A STICKY GOO. THIS MAY BE THE RESIN THEY USED. ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET THIS GUNK OFF?

Images Aligning Left
One thing I noticed when posting a topic or blog entry, is that when you insert an image to the post it automatically wants to align it left, which causes your text to wrap around it.
Just wanted to mention that for future troubleshooting to see if that align can be fixed. It's not always a bad thing, but if you have a large image inserted or several like below, it can make the post all wonky. Of course simple hitting return a few times can move your text down to make it look normal.

I'd like this thread to be a place where we can each share our most expensive or time-wasting lessons learned, for the benefit of those who have not yet built a permanent layout or invested a large fistful of funds into the mrr hobby.

The yard is a short walk from my house. Cycle path overpass bridges the yard.

Uploading Flash Video
In future posts I would like to insert some video. I believe that on a post in this forum I could link to YouTube and work within their limitations i.e. file size and format. What are the file size limitations and other requirments if any for uploading Flash to MRH servers. My basic understanding of Flash is that I would have to shoot video and render it to an AVI. file then convert it to Flash with converting software then uploading it through the Rich Text Editor. Am I correct with my assumptions?
blog entry versus forum topic
I'm unclear on the difference between a blog entry and a forum topic. The given definitions don't help. Under what situations is one better than another? I haven't been able to detect any consistency among users. Also, can an individual have more than one blog? If not, it would seem that the blog title be something unique to the individual. If so, a blog shouldn't have the title "XYZ company is coming out with new models." Also, I would have thought a blog would have a home page. Please straighten me out.

Joe,
I don't know if Drupal supports notifications but it would be a nice feature to add. Specifically, I am thinking of notifications on blog comments, new/updated content, forum posts, etc.
