Joe,
I don't know if Drupal supports notifications but it would be a nice feature to add. Specifically, I am thinking of notifications on blog comments, new/updated content, forum posts, etc.

I'll look into this ...
Drupal has a ton of functionality we've not yet tapped in the way of add-on modules. I'll be taking a look at more new features we can add to this site, and am keeping a list. I'll add notification to the list of desired features.

Nothing to do with Drupal.
Nothing to do with Drupal. Just using this thread to report a new bug.
People are using large signatures and it seems to muck-up the previous/next thread in ' <div class="forum-topic-navigation clear-block"> '
At least it does it in my IE7

Any example page/node URLs?

No Joe.
No Joe. It made the matter worse. NOw I see 2 small portions of the previous/next field in Chucks post. The issue only happens when the poster uses a graphic signature. Here is what shows up now in Chucks post. Circle in red is how/where the previous/next now shows.
Posts by Bear Creek also show the same result and he is also using the graphic signature file. Both these posts are at the top of their respective thread. This is the only place the issue occures, when a poster with a graphic signature file starts a thread.
More research ...
Okay, I'll look into it some more.

Manual signature images
For what it's worth when I started the discussion thread drupal didn't automagically stick my signature block in place. I had to do that manually so techinically, I suppose it's not really a "signature" block at all. It's just a post than ended with an image...
Is that a clue as to the issue?

Drupal has a bug on signatures
Drupal has a bug on signatures, where it will not stick the signature block on the original post at the head of the thread - only on the comments that follow on the thread.
But that's only part of the issue ... the other issue has to do with the way the styles on this site float images. The image float works in other browsers, but not in IE 7 ... so what else is new? IE continues its reputation of being the bane of web developers.
Regardless, the float problems needs to be fixed, so stay tuned.
