MRH Magazine general discussion
My review of issue 1
I enjoyed the first issue a lot!
In the down time that was the great server overload, I wrote a review on the issue and posted it on blogger.

I'd call this the list of everything that could be improved!! Enjoy!!

SITE TRANSITION - Image uploading is OFF for now
As part of the transition to our new site, image uploading is turned OFF for now.
If we don't do that, you could end up uploading content to our old site instead of our new one if you're caught in transition. Plus turning off image uploading lowers the load on our server for now. Until we complete our move to the new server, keeping the load on our site lower is a good thing.
We appreciate your patience during this transition to ensure we can handle the new load!

Nothing short of amazing...
Hey Joe and all,
Every themepark has opening day bugs, but this is amazing. I say this even as I am following the mac thing... and stumbled in here:). Just wanted to say I am genuinely excited with this effort.
Of course I am tickled to read ANY magazine that is 'scratch & listen':)! You all have your hands full right now but when the dust settles a little bit we need to have some fun with 'the other image' within your pages.
A ton of genius on top of a ton of genius, good show... even if everything isn't working yet, its working:)!
Magazine
Just downloaded the magazine, now to spend time reviewing it, I hope it remains at the right price.
Ellist
Has the download been released yet?
My name is not on the list. I wasn't notified. I'm just wondering if its been released yet, here on the east coast its just after 11am.

Valuable Tidbits about Gmail
I was reading the thread about Google Notifications and there were some concerns about this and that email address being used.
I have been using Gmail now for about two years and only wish I had movved over to gmail sooner. I downloaded all my email twice to my computer and in both instances the harddrive died within a month before the backup event date. Not fun. gmail has the space to hold every email I ever recieve and then some.
Jumping to the last post
Joe and all,
I'm sure there must be some way to do it, but I can't seem to figure out how to get directly to the last post in these long discussions and blog replies. I have been going to the bototm of the page, then click to last page, then go to bottom of that page. What am I missing? (Besides a clue ...)

Movie Monday Hiatus
Movie Monday is taking a brief hiatus while we put the first issue of the new mediaZine to bed.
The new mediaZine literally has dozens of video clips and we're using our video editing resources at the moment to finish up issue 1.
Once issue 1 is put to bed (Jan 10) - we will put our video editing resources back to work editing Movie Monday videos, so we expect to resume our weekly free Movie Monday on January 19th.

IMPORTANT! GoogleGroups notification - PLEASE ACCEPT!
YES, IT'S US!
If you get an email from jfugatesr@gmail.com about being set up on our GoogleGroups Model Railroad Hobbyist mediaZine subscribers notification list - yes, that's us! It's legit - we're moving to GoogleGroups for all of our email notifications because it's free and it's very easily integrated with the Drupal software that runs this site.
Please scroll down and accept the invitation if you want to be a magazine subscriber and receive email notifications from us when new issues are released.

Update on the coming issue 1 of Model Railroad Hobbyist
We're doing the final pasteup on issue 1 of Model Railroad Hobbyist now and it looks like the issue is going to be over 100 pages and be some 70+ megabytes in size. We're looking at just over 5,000 subscribers and over 10 paid ads in the first issue - which is a great start for a magazine that was only announced 6 months ago!
