Sergents Coupler question

I just downloaded and read the July issue of Model Raiload Hobbyist.  I was really loking forward toe the articles on the Sergent couplers, and they did not disappoint!  I have one question or perhaps a challenge to someone for a future article.  The articles mentioned that the Sergents will couple to Kaddees, but that they may cause derailments on curves because of limited cou0pler swing.  That brings up two questions.  What is the minimum radius that the Sergents will work in compared with Kaddee?  The second question has to do with how much does the min

Convention video request

Just putting in a request to get Mike McNamara's "Modeling Northern New England" clinic taped at the NMRA national..

I mean, seriously, who is going to want to see the LDSIG Panel on modeling ROW going on then? Thats kinda niche. Who is really interested in LDSIG panels anyway? I think viewers would much rather see Mike's clinic :).

Coupler Choices

I have been gradually accumulating locomotives and freight cars for my Colorado & Northwestern. Most of them are sitting on the layout as I checked my track and wiring through the construction phases. On my last layout I was using Kadee couplers but this time I wanted something that looked a bit more authentic. My time period is turn of the century about 1905. It appears to me that the viable choices are Kadee or Sergent Engineering couplers. I was wondering if anyone has used the Sergent couplers, I like the way they look but how do they perform?

Is there a place to trade or sell on the forum?

Is there a section of the forum where we can post items we would like to sell or trade?

I have a undecorated KATO SD40 (undecorated) and wanted to see if someone would like to trade for a KATO SD38-2 (undecorated preffered).

If this is not approprite to post, I'll be happy to remove it.

Thanks,

Is it best to post here, or in the blog section?

I was just looking through the 'blog' section, and there are some great

posts that don't seem to make it to the 'discussion forum' section.

Which is the 'preferred' section when posting?

I was just a little befuddled?

Wanted: Hartford local to temporarily join the MRH staff

We're looking for a model railroader who lives in the Hartford area and either plans to attend (or would like to attend) the National Train Show in Hartford this July.

We need a local who is responsible and would be willing to help us work our Train Show booth. You will temporarily join the MRH staff and be compensated for your time and effort. As staff, you will be able to get in early and help us with booth setup, and if you don't yet have your convention registration, by being staff, you will get into the National Train Show for free.
