Some weathering attempts

I took some time this past week to try out some of the different weathering techniques shown on Trainmasters over the last year.  Here are some of my attempts with varying levels of success.

Some photos ( I hope)

Weathering Tutorial for a Walthers 130' Turntable Parts 1 & 2

Following is a tutorial to weather a Walthers 130' Turntable. Before starting my project I searched the MRH Forum but didn't find any advice and didn't see a similar post. I thought others may find this post useful.              John

Looking for a special switch motor circuit

Hi...I'm looking for something similar to a diode matrix.  The solution circuit will use 2 push buttons -- one for the entrance point to the interlocking and one for the exit point.  The 2 buttons then determine the route and throw the needed switches to implement that route.

Progress

Relief from all the political "noise." Progress on the railroad with the small hill and tunnel at the far West end of the railroad. Will be building and wiring out from there over to the bridge connecting both halves of the railroad.

DIY Stay alive. Looking for advice. Electronics gurus please chime in.

I came across this kits at the local train show yesterday and I have questions about the polarity of the components.  In the instructions, it says that the zener diode is positive on the stripe end but every reference I have seen is that the stripe end is negative.  Any how, I have attached a photo of the kit with the schematic on the package.

Thanks for any

Preparation for Operations on the ATSF Paradigm Division

Over the past month and a half, I have really not worked on layout construction but rather have been working at the Central Texas (Temple, TX), AMRE (San Antonio, TX), and New Braunfels train shows. In between, I have done some preliminary operations planning.  This consisted of finalizing the sequence of train appearances as well as creating switch-list forms and train location cards.
