So that's 4 shop lights (16K), and 12 1K LED bulbs....
I might have enough light for photography now....
What's the Best Way to Clean Brass Locomotives?
I received a very nice brass steam locomotive from a special friend a few years ago for Christmas. It's an LIRR-inspired G-5 4-6-0 and it's the first brass engine I've ever owned. Therefore, I am ignorant to the type of maintenance it requires and am rather apprehensive to jump into any type of service project without some community advice.
2019 Update for the J&M
December was a tear it down month. At least a partial teardown. January will be a build it back up month.
Who has pictures of (a) ditch(s) on your layout?
I'm starting to carve a couple of ditches, one between the road and the mainline, and one between the mainline and the grass.
I think I'm cutting too close to the ballast and maybe too deep.
Any pix out there to steer me in the right direction?
TOO MANY Structures
Yesterday (and will continue today) I decided to open up some of the bigger boxes in which I had packaged unbuilt structure kits for possible shipment overseas. I wanted to inventory what I had, both as a list, and with photos.
I had way too many ! I just bought up kits over the years as I found them at attractive prices, and/or rare, or no longer available.

first off. HAPPY NEW YEAR YALL!! I'm going to post my pics of some projects later on today(3hrs ahead of West Coast time.) Just got home from working a New Year's Eve party where I work at. so let's the pics/videos come in. May your year be a prosperous one.

Layout progress in 2018
It is the end of 2018 and looking back on the year I made a lot of progress on the layout.
Traveling around the USA looking at, running and taking pictures of some Model Railroads in 2019.
