Arduino for Peco ladder

I have read Dr. Bunza's article on using an Arduino and servos to control a yard ladder.  I was wondering if I can use a Arduino mega with a motor shield to drive Peco switch machines.

Thanks for any help...Ken

correct wire

well i have a TSU 1000 decoder, at least that is what it looks like, except one corner.

https://postimg.cc/gallery/35v4s9gba/

in the photo there are three wires coming out of the unknown part. (on my decoder there is NO wiring, but a tiny flat black thing), where the black wire from the keep alive is at there is a three wire connector, two purple (speaker) one white cut short.

the rd and black wires come from the opposite ends, at each corner,  soldered to what i will call the underside, and go to a factory installed cap (just one).

Bobs Bog

In the tradition of Furlows Slough and Lewot Bog by Art Curren, I bring you "Bobs Bog". Why Bobs Bog? Well, my late brother was named Bob and he was an avid hunter an fisherman so I think he would have appreciated it and considered what he might find living in it. Besides, it just fits!

This whole project resulted from a small uncovered gap in the benchwork  in an otherwise relatively flat area. It was a fun little distraction from other areas and still in process is the proverbial hobo camp and fire very nearby.

Rock Island Maroon - Suggestions?

I looked in the MRH Acrylic Painting Guide for Rock Island maroon color mixing and found one for Rock Island red, but unsure as to its suitability for the maroon color of the older diesels. Was hoping some of the Rock's modellers might have suggestions.

This is what I found in the painting guide:

6pt Model Master 4633 - Gloss Stop Light Red
1pt Model Master 4609 - Flat British Crimson

7pt Vallejo-MicroLux 71.102 - Red
6pt Vallejo-MicroLux 71.103 - Grey Blue

Thanks in advance!

dh123at

Hi,

I know the dh123at arent available anymore. And i use the just wire editions of my dcc decoders for my blue boxs. Having trouble getting my wire to stay on the truck connector. So was wondering what sidemounted push on connector did they use and any idea of ones like it. So can stop fighting with my wire. Lol

Upper fascia?

As the bench work progresses I found myself thinking too much.  When I stand at normal operating distance this is what I see:

Painting over pad-printed wafer.

This CNR wafer was covered in a very tough and durable gloss lacquer.

I managed to rub through the gloss lacquer covering the wafer using an eraser and realized it is not a decal, but a pad printed wafer on the black finish.

Painting mulllions

I have a Walther's Cornerstone grain elevator that I am assembling. This kit has several windows with mullions which I would like to paint. What is the best method to do this without getting the color over the window pane itself.
