IAIS's West End - Abandoned concrete plant - DONE
One of my hobby goals for 2020 is to make more progress on structures, and I decided to start by trying to fill the largest gaps between existing structures today. Job #1 is the abandoned Ready Mixed concrete plant (later found to be Wilson Concrete, but in 2001 this plant was acquired by Lyman-Richey Corp., parent company of...Ready Mixed!) just east of UP's Pool Yard in Council Bluffs. Here are a couple prototype photos from September 2001 and June 2005, respectively:

ESU LoKPorgrammer woes with latest software upgrade - Solved
13-Jan - see my last post - was able to revive the dead decoder.
I don't detect any chatter on the ESU forum on this, did submit a query there, but also trying here.
I recently upgraded to version 5.0.10, which is the latest version. I am trying to reload an existing sound file that I have successfully used and reloaded in the past. Now I get one of these messages shortly after the progress window says "Reading CVs".
Mostly I get "the detected decoder is not supported".
Seperated routes of 2 lines modelled.
Here are two separated routes run by the rr's. The two are physically separate from the diamond crossing in St J to the turnout on the duck under (may not be shown). From that point onward the shared trackage arrangement could be extended all the way to a side yard functioning as St Albans in the WRJ yard. If extended to that length it allows the St J to operate in the prototypical scheme of Morrisville turns/crew swaps. The connection is a entry to the CV's Richford Branch at Sheldon Jct. There are options to consider.

Which kind of glue to use
I want to glue small cribbing made from bass wood to the plastic deck of a Walthers 60' flatcar. Just wondering what kind of glue works best for bonding these two materials together.
Thanks in advance!
A few more figures.
Happy New Year to you all.
Unfortunately work and illness has kept me away from a lot of hobbying, but I did manage to to paint up a few more figures. The last 2 I did today on a slow Sunday afternoon.
Hopefully this year will be better and I can get back to some railway modeling.
Silvester Layout Operating session
Hello,
during the christmas time and the first weekends in January a friend of mine held the so called Silvester Layout operating session during that time. The time period is set to 1919 just before the founding of the DRG (Deutsch Reichsbahn Gesellschaft, Impirial German Railway Society). Most of the layout is assembled with modules built to the FREMO N-RE standards. Enjoy the video.

Powering frogs with Caboose groundthrows
I’m only now converting my layout to DCC after operating for years on friends layouts that use it. A lot of this will be new construction. I've always liked Peco turnouts and used them extensively on my old layouts with great success but I see they are a bit more complicated using dcc, at least according to what I’ve been reading online. Seems like a huge variety of opinions on all this.

Looking for Low RPM Solution
I am working on an N scale structure project and want to add some animation. I need to animate part of it so there is a constant rotation of around 6-10 RPM. It isn’t large and load isn’t the issue. My questions are around the best way to provide a low RPM solution that can run for 10-20 minutes in a stretch.
Things I have considered:
Gear reduction on a small motor running at speed. My concerns with this are:
Ground lights and step lights. (Renamed!)
Even though my workbench is currently the dining table in the motorhome work continues.
I’ve been busy making working ground lights and step lights. The current approaches to these lights up until now may well be vastly improved by using these ready to install or basic kit fixtures.

Thus we start a new year...
2017 grew towards expansion into new skills and processes.
