I am building a 4 X 8 layout that is located in a spare room in our house. One day I know I will have to give up this room to be used for another purpose. To make moving the layout possible, I knew I would have to build it to come apart. Here is what I have done to make things easier on myself.

Good morning folks, By way of introduction I like to build models and would like to incorporate those into a working trackplan. I have no experience at this except for one seat of the pants build of an N scale layout.

I now would like to have a simple but yet well thought out HO trackplan for a logging to waterfront layout. Anyone willing to take some time and help further a plan would be most welcome. Thanks Pat

Since I'm about to start scenery around the town of Milton, I decided to finish a few structures to make sure they'll fit in as intended.  These won't be 100% done until they have a completed scene around them, but in their present state should give an idea of how the place will look.

I've seen this locomotive in local service for the last few weeks. This photo was taken just outside Midland, Texas today [2/23] about 12:30 PM.
