Scratchbuilding an O scale Baldwin S-12

I love those old Baldwin Diesel switchers and I want one for my small switching layout. I have a few HO Stewart Baldwins, but nothing like that is available in O scale – only 3-rail engines with that horrible twin motors China drive and a few Brass models, but these are rare and you need a fat wallet. So I thought if I cannot buy an engine, how hard could it be to build one? Will I end up having a nice loco or if it will go directly to the scrap yard? Well, I will soon find out.

Decal setting solution. What is your preference? And Why?

So I've been back to painting locos and rolling stock lately. I have been using various decals from my scrap box and new sets as needed for a few projects that have been on the back burner. My question is, 'what is you preferred decal setting solution and why? reason I ask is that I have been using Walthers Solvaset for a number of years with fairly good results however, I also have been restoring a bunch of older decals using Microscales Liquid Decal Film with very good results so far. Is there a better decal set out there? I haven't used Micro Sol

Scale drawing of CP wide vision van

I'm looking for a scale drawing (any scale) of a CP wide-vision van (Angus Shops), like those produced by Rapido. I haven't had much look on the scale drawing websites. Maybe a reference to one in a back issue magazine? Thanks.

Gluing Rubber

Hello All.

Im needing to glue a piece of pure rubber floor mat, about 1/16 thick, to a solid wood floor. The piece of rubber is about a 3x6 inch piece. What is the appropriate glue to use? it is a static display only, and no handling will occur!

DCC - Multiple controllers

Over the past 5 years or so I was never concerned much with DCC. I always have run straight DC? My main interest was in building my Moose Lake & Eagle Pass RR layout. I bought motive power because I liked a particular locomotive. As a result, now that I want to use DCC, I have a mix of manufacturers(Broadway Limited, Bachmann, Atlas, etc.). How can I run them all when each has its own controller. I have bought each manufacturers controller.
