SPSF Meadow Sub: CNW GP15-1 for the UP Transfer

Here are a few photos of a recent project to weather a new Athearn Genesis CNW GP15-1 with DCC/sound for transfer service on the Meadow Sub.

Adding feeder wires to double track helix

I purchased a n scale helix kit and have finished putting it together.  When I got done I realized that I did not provide enough feeders for each layer.  I only have a feeder at the top and bottom of the helix for each track.  Since it is all glued together, I don't have the ability to take it apart and add the feeders.  I was wondering what the best way to handle this?  Should I try and run the feeder wire under the track for the inside connections?  Is using 22 ga. too big for this?  Thoughts?

Wye or regular turnout?

This is the former SP&S. Is this a wye or a regular turnout?

It looks like it was former double track, with a connection made to the remaining track and then a jog around a moved signal. Just guessing on all this.

Thanks.

Here to There operations Software

I have come across a reference to the above software programme which appears to base operation around realistic waybills and dispenses with traditional carcard/waybill combinations. Has anybody out there tried this system and if so what was your experience of it?

PRR signal practices?

I'd like to add some signals to a segment of my TT layout and need some input from those who know how the Pennsy would have typically signaled the location in the mid 1950's era.   My freelance plan has a mainline running thru the layout with a passing siding,a spur, and a turnout to the branchline.  I'd like to install signals on the mainline and make the branchline dark territory.  The adjacent turnouts to the branchline and the passing siding are about 2 car lengths apart if that matters.
