Can I Run Two A Unit Locos Together
Hi,
I am considering the purchase of two Bachmann Alco FA2 A units. I would like to run them together, back to back, but I am not sure how to accomplish this. I'm assuming that if I just set them up back to back and turn on the power that they will be fighting one another. I'm guessing that there is something that can be programmed to overcome this, but does this feature really exist? I would hate to buy the two A units only to find out that they can't be run back to back. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
New York City Freight
I am finally getting back into the hobby after a 25+ year hiatus. Wow have things changed. I am looking for advice on my beginnings. My plan is to model the New York and Atlantic currently operating in NYC. I already found out getting locos is tough. The advice I am seeking, is good sources for urban scenery. I would love to combine NYC subway, NYAR local freight, and the CSX that travels in through the Hell's gate Bridge. Being an armor modeler, I love realism and weathering. I welcome any and all input. Thanks for your time.
Want to add a Power light to my sidings with a LED
The only way it lights up is if a Loco is on the track and then it does not power up the Loco.
Do I need to change the type of switch or is not possible, to just show power on the siding?
Thanks for any insight

Building the Bronx Terminal Freight house.
That geometrical nightmare....
Next up in the construction of the layout is a project I have been putting off for some time, the "round" freight house. Not really round, its a 29 side nightmare.
I've Been Working in the Roundhouse
I have been busy unpacking and checking out my engines and rolling stock the past weeks and thought I woudl post some pictures of what I have done so far. My models have been in storage for about 18 years and some engines are in sad shape, mostly from mild corrosion. I had them stored in a spare room in the basement with the heat turned off. Anyway, these engines are now working like new and ready for DCC.
Power Pax
From reading posts on here I see several members have the Power Pax power booster. A member of this board has offered me his surplus booster but doesn't have the wall transformer. Can someone check out their unit and give me the power numbers (voltage, amps) off the unit?
I don't want to centre anyone out, but will publically thank the member for his kind offer. This site has to be the best.

Pembroke II: Completing the Long Section
Julian and Andrew came over again last night, and we had a most productive evening. We had a good job list, and so, there were very few times when one of us was standing around with our hands in our pockets. Poor Julian only managed to have one beer, which must mean he was busy!

Bill Miller Car #2
On 3/26/13 I made a MRH blog post about some construction articles in “HO Model Trains “Exclusively HO Scale”” by Bill Miller. I recently completed the second car based on his articles. It was an L. C. L. container gondola car used by the Delaware & Hudson and it appeared in the April 1952 issue. The thing that attracted me was the fact that A. C. Gilbert made a similar car starting in 1955 for his American Flyer tinplate line. AF used their basic gondola which differed a bit from the prototype that Mr. Miller wrote about. It was numbered #916.
