How thick (or thin) is 0.007 inches? Not very darned thick. How much effort does it take to break a piece of glass 0.007 inches thick? Not very darned much.
Scratch built coaling tower
This scratch-built model represents my freelance version of the CNR’s reinforced muti silo concrete and brick coaling towers that were built during the 1920’s. I made a single silo to fit a layout that I had in the past that had limited space for a service area.
I used photographs of various CNR concrete coal towers to guide me with the construction and had to estimate the dimensions.

Automated computer dispatcher program
Sitting on my back porch having nightly libation while listening to my railroad scanner on my Ipad of RR action in the Jacksonville, FL area and had an idea (a rare thing!). For solo operations it would be neat if I had a way to use a radio interfacing with a computer program (PC, Ipad,whatever) that ran an automated program to imitate a live dispatcher.
BUDD Passanger Car
Has anyone published a technique for modeling in metal? I want to scratchbuild a Budd streamline coach. For instance, can sheet stainless be bent to form sides and roof as one piece? How were the prototypes put
together at the Budd plant? Hoping for enlightenment

B&B - An overdue update.
About a month ago my family went to see some friends out of state which left me with a good week to be able to make some good progress. Since then I have been consistently working towards getting trains running. The following will be a brief description of what I have done:
