Here are some pictures of the scratch built Brauman Paper Co. in Green Bay Industrial Area on my HO scale CNW Peninsula Division RR. I have started to finish the scenery in this area. I only have one more structure to build to complete the structures here. The white rectangular cardboard piece is the foot print for that building, which will be a cheese distribution company by the name of Superior Cheese Co. Like all of the other structures on my layout was a actual company in Green Bay during the time I model (40's/mid 50's). It will only be one story high to allow access to the tracks for Brauman Paper Co.

Very nice!

I like it!  When do we  get to see pictures with all those lights on?

I like the paper industry, and I like your model of it!

Operating

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the nice comments. I also enjoy seeing the pictures of your layout and structures. Your modeling and photos are really great. I have been to a couple of your symposiums in the past and have also enjoyed them. As for operating on my layout, you could have an opportunity in November of this year as Division 8 of the NCR is hosting a three day convention. My layout will be open and on the layout tours, and I will also be hosting some OPS sessions. I am located north and west of Detroit. Check out their website if you have not already done so for further details.

Lighting

Thanks Rog.38

I have not put in the main lighting circuit for my building lighting, but will try to jury rig something to get them lit and then retake pictures. I will be running a bus line around the entire layout and putting in the various drops as needed. I just recently decided to start adding lights to my buildings. A lot of the original buildings (and there are many) are not set up for lighting and might be to difficult to retrofit. All of the new buildings will be set up to accommodate lighting. I am still using bulbs, but am thinking about and checking into using LED's. The power to run the lighting circuit is a surplus computer power supply. I got it from All Electronics. It is a Micro ATX Switching P4 Power Supply, PN-3501, 120v AC Input and it comes with 3 different DC Outputs and a built in fan. I am using the +12v 12amp setup.

See the attached photos.

Rocky Mountain Printing C0.

Tried to create something different, used foam core and model builders to create this industry.

I am glad to see more people modeling interiors. It may be more work but adds sooooooo much to the model.Great job.

Brauman Paper Co.

Great night time shots of the paper company. Did you just use ambient lighting or did you flash/reflect some light?

I have a major problem with scratch building...too many thumbs and crocked eye.  I have to do with kit bashing.

It appears as though I now only have have 3 left and 2 right thumbs, and can reassemble kits to my designs. Hope to start scratch building shortly. Only taken 40 years to loose those other 9 thumbs. The crocked eye is still there there, but I am working on correcting it...  I bought some specs, makes a big difference.

Foam Core and Paper

Art,

Is this a paper building supported on foam core?
