TWMRC
This is an update on Art Houston's video of the Texas Western Model Railroad Club. The TWMRC has moved to a new location in Forrest Hill off of Forest Hill drive. The track, switches ,buildings and electronics were saved, none of the scenery. Ft Worth is the center of the layout with track running to Houston and maybe St Louis and don't know about Denver. The building owner passed away and the children want big money for the building from the train club.

Barry you did a great job on my good friend Dick Joyce's layout, The Ingleside & Oakdale.
I wish we could have more of the Mylayout segments.
Great Job
Build Your Own Arduino Based DCC Controller
Since I saw Geoff Bunza's posting about a build-it-yourself DCC decoder (see: http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/19070 ) I have been experimenting with that device and have just finished up an Arduino based DCC controller.
There is a video showing it in action as well as details on its construction on my web page.

Play/Operate
Hi, I am wondering,
Do you feel you are at ‘play’/can be ‘playful’ whilst operating (prototypically, or thereabouts a model railway). Essentially, are there any differences between play and operate to you, and whether essentially play might not be part of operate for you? I ask in the context of trying to write a piece conceptualizing play in the model railway hobby, it would be great if you could offer your thoughts on this if you like.

Running narrow gauge steam locos backwards - questions and thoughts please
Hi Folks,
I am planning my first layout using 2 foot wide modules, and need to understand issues with running narrow gauge engines backwards - specifically:
Blackstone 2-8-0
MDC 2-8-0
PFM 25 Ton 2 truck Benson
The layout I am hoping to build will be point to point with both SG & NG trackage crossing many trestles and bridges in a very mountainous environment.
Prototype curve radius to narrow gauge model question.
Hi All,
I am starting a new narrow gauge layout adventure. While I've had my own layouts and worked on others, I've never done one on a prototype let alone narrow gauge. So now I'm in the doodling/design stage and have a question which I'm sure has a simple answer.
(After many years in lab research I recognize when I get lost in my own circular thinking and when that happens there is no way out on my own!)
If a prototype curve is 10 degrees and I run it through the formula to a scale radius I end up with:
Rust Oleum spray
Hi all,
I have a question regarding the Rust Oleum spray. The flat brown is sometimes used for weathering trucks but do you think the result would be as good with the satin enamel dark brown or chestnut brown? I am from Argentina, Latin America, and I cannot find the flat brown anyway. Maybe another possibility if those satin are not suitable would be some Humbrol or Model Master browns applied with airbrush. It is really a pity because this technique for weathering trucks seems so easy, with great results.
Many thanks for your time and help.
Best regards,

Denver Union Station and Rice yard
As work continues we had a work weekend last week. And turnout was not too good as some of the crew had personal and work obligations to meet. So Sean and I carried on as we finish the siding in Longmont and turn the corner to head into Denver.
Railroaqd Manifest Sheets
Where do I locate manifest sheets for actual trains from the 1950-60s etc. Prefably in Texas, SSW or T&NO
Thanks
