Benchwork - Roadbed
Work on Benchwork continues On30 layout - cutting peninsula
I thought I posted this but it disappeared. Try again.
Benchwork is Complete!
I finished the benchwork this weekend. Getting ready to start the trackwork.
More progress on my Ullapool project
Now some progress on my Ullapool project.
The trackwork is now laid on module 2 and on module 3 there only the tracks that connect with module 4 have to be laid.
The next stepts are soldering the wires on the tracks, and cutting the tracks on the joint between modules 2 and 3.
Then joining modules 3 and 4 and laying the rest of the track.

Pics of Layout (In Progress)
Here are some picturess of my layout. Your comments are welcomed, but understand that I am not a purist nor a rivet counter. Nonetheless, I was wondering do others use "manual dispatching" relative to switches and signals on a DCC system like I do? My switches are 2 pole 6 ways that let me select which aspect I need. Secondly, my ballast looks much better in person than in the pictures. It is a cheap and neat way to do it, with paint. Also as you will notice I am much farther along on the area that has trees and grass. Pics to follow. Kyle
Benchwork Arrives on the Augusta Railway
This weekend it was 8 degrees and I have over a foot of snow in the yard. Wife didn't want to go outside, so I built the benchwork for my layout! What fun. It is just temporarily held together with clamps as I've got to finish the clouds on the backdrop.

The Cornhill & Atherton Railroad begins
The Cornhill and Atherton is born……..
Christmas seems to be the time that I make most progress, so the chainsaw layout has been chain sawed and I finally make a start on the main event. Although I now have a dedicated railroad room it’s only 11 x 8 (space is at a premium in the UK). So after months of investigation and thought I settled on a 2 deck arrangement linked with a helix.
2013 Goals for your Railroad Modeling?
In December 2011 Rick Wade started a thread on goals for 2012. http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/6579
I thought it would be interesting to review my goals and see what I accomplished toward those goals. And also look at what I had done that wasn't included in my goals.
