Futuristic Locomotive I2X2 Build

Got your attention quickly, didn't I? Well, ever since I posted this picture on the forums, people have asked for a build log - and after much stalling, a few failed attempts at writing, and the photo appearing in this month's "Yes it's a Model" section, I've finally mustered up the steam to do this.

Bourk-Donaldson-Taylor Refrigerator Car

To All: Today I present a Bourk-Donaldson-Taylor refrigerator car. This company transported fruits and vegetables all over the country from Colorado. I took this photo on Dennis Larson's San Juan Northern RR HO/HOn3 layout recently. An unusual color scheme to say the least! Does any one out there know who made this car? Yours, Elvin Howland/E. Reefers - very large PFE reefers

I started a more extensive work four weeks ago.
My friend asked for building of eight PFE R-70-2 reefers from Sunshine Models, the so-called "Super Giant reefers".

Hello to all!

I would like to show you and to explain what I've done with a Atlas tank car. This tank has two lives.

O scale - Updating some Atlas/Roco cars

Hello all,

I've some old rolling stock from Roco (1970's production for Atlas) at home and I would like to modify them to obtain updated cars for my little project of US layout.

O scale - A modified tank car

Hello to all!

I would like to show you and to explain what I've done with a Atlas tank car. This tank has two lives.

To begin, I've bought a Atlas Trainman 8000 gals tank car there is a little more than 10 years ago.

I used the tank to scratchbuild a 1918 US imported tank car for the french railroads. The tank was too long (just a few millimeters). So I've cut down it to obtain the good size.

Sound: Yes or No?

I can't seem to get my arms around this whole "sound" thing. I don't have any sound equipped locos, but every time I go to a train show, I pay particular attention to layouts that are running sound equipped locomotives.

I have to be honest - I'm  not impressed.

Flatcar Lumber Loads

This is a lumber load I built for my railway.

To me the type of load that is just a solid block with printing on it to represent the layers of lumber bundles just doesn't cut it, as it just looks like a 2D block and the graphics line up too cleanly.

BNSF Track Measurement Train

I was walking to the library with Christine. We have to cross the BNSF tracks through Longmont, CO, to get there. I wanted to record a train at a grade crossing as a ringtone for my phone. Well, today there was a train approaching as we crossed the tracks. So I got out my phone and used the video to capture the sounds. I wasn't really looking at the train as it approached. I didn't see what it was until I was recording, The video is not the best because I really wasn't thinking "video" when I started. It was an interesting very short train.
