SVRR track plan

This will be my 3rd attempt at building a HO layout.  The first one was a copy of someone else's track plan.  The plan fit nicely into my space (9x12), but after laying the track, my skill level just couldn't fit the structures, streets, tunnels scenery etc to look right (my post picture above is a view of it).  And I did make a lot of mistakes that I would like to do over.

O scale - My shortline - layout and rolling stock

Hello All and welcome here.

this blog will show you the progress of my O scale project.

I'm a French modeler and I like US shortline railroads.

I want to share with you my project.

Have a good visit and thank you to read.

Flat or Grades

As I'm planning my layout I was wondering how many modelers have flat layouts with just bench work and a top compared to more open grid with risers and stuff to make the grades.  Currently I have my around the wall bench work done with pink foam just laid on top of it as I have not glued it down.

Junction Valley Railroad

I found this while wandering around Google check it out it is the worlds largest quarter size railroad.

I can not take credit for this video but it is pretty cool.

Layout Update Mid-May 2015

Construction on the ATSF Paradigm Division has been progressing slowly over the last month or so.  I have been working on power district # 4 near the west helix for the past month or so. All of the track, turnouts, and wiring has been installed for Michaelson Jct. (simulates Ottawa Jct., KS) , the branch line over the top of the west helix to Michaelson, and Michaelson (simulates Ottawa, KS). Additionally, all of the sub-roadbed (plywood) for the peninsula has been installed and all of the cork roadbed has been glued down and painted with the dark base color that I have been using.
