MRH Website general discussion

I got an e-mail that someone had sent me a PM on a subject.

But I have spent the better part of 15 minutes trying to find where you see that on this forum. I have clicked every possible button on my own controls and I see no links to any PMs. There's also no notification when you get into this site that someone sent you a PM. Had I not seen my e-mail, I never would have known.

So, how do you open your PMs? This site is very clumsy compared to all other forums I've been on for this...

First spraying of Tru Color paint.....

MRH Website general discussion

Laid down a light coat of DM&E / IC&E yellow over the primer on a fleet of SD40-3's, and was quite pleased. Came out in good even shape, and dried very fast. Good even color, and smooth and a bit of a gloss.

Will throw a second light coat on tomorrow and then look forward to masking them off with Tru Color's masking paper and then adding the blue.

Had read some less-than-happy-with postings about working with Tru Color paint, but so far, am very happy.

MRH - Education. Encouragement, or Entertainment? So I was wondering about the readers / members on MRH what is the main reason you follow and read MRH (both the eZine and threads).

Is it education? - It's a great place to learn how to improve you modeling skills and other things.

Is it encouragement? - Need a shot in the arm to get going? It's a great place to see what others are doing and get jazzed up to work on your railroad.

Anyone in the Montgomery AL area while visitng there next week?

Is it ok to include suppliers info in Blog posts?

I have a list of suppliers, with links, to specific suppliers parts I used in a project I am blogging. Is it ok to list the items and source links.

The list I have has the part numbers I used and clicking on the part number brings one right to the item in the suppliers site, without searching.

Is this allowed?

Is there anyway to search the Podcasts. I am looking for one with Lance Mindheim. I have had 2 computers crash and had to reformat my netbook. Anyway, all I have right now is ITunes.
