Laid down a light coat of DM&E / IC&E yellow over the primer on a fleet of SD40-3's, and was quite pleased.  Came out in good even shape, and dried very fast.  Good even color, and smooth and a bit of a gloss.

Will throw a second light coat on tomorrow and then look forward to masking them off with Tru Color's masking paper and then adding the blue.

Had read some less-than-happy-with postings about working with Tru Color paint, but so far, am very happy.

Tru Color Paint

I have had enough experience to recommend Tru Color. I was impressed to the point I purchased a number of the larger bottles including the yet-to-be released colors.

Air brushes well and is an easy clean up & you don't need MEK to do it

Original Accupaint was awesome

I still maintain that the old Accupaint line was the best paint ever developed for model railroading. Easy flow through the airbrush, and always a great finish. Never any pebbly finish or crazing, and a realistic gloss (closest to a brand new locomotive look without looking fake). So glad to hear that Tru Color resurrected the formula, and even expanded on it.

If you can share photos of your work, please do.
