The missing "Sitting There" column in MRH mag

I guess I'm trying to revive an idea that appeared as an April fools joke in the April 2013 issue of MRH.

It was about starting an MRH column called something like "Sitting There" for armchair modelers, i.e. those of us who use railroad simulation software. It ended up being an April fool's joke and I fell for it, hook, line and sinker.

BLMA a/c units

I have had a package of the BLMA window mounted a/c units. They are etched metal and assemble exactly as advertised. A nice little detail for my HO buildings.

The directions say once the assembly is done to glue where the tabs connect to the base. I am unclear about what type of glue to use.

And I am not sure what the do with the metal that sticks beyond the base. This would keep the detail from laying flat to the window or building siding.

What did you do?

Has DCC finally met its challenger?

Looks like the wireless revolution is starting. Could DCC be left in the dust?

Make sure scroll down to were it says HO.

Note: Be sure to watch the 8 part video in the Learn Section. Very interesting.

Steel mill video

This video is really riveting. There is action every frame, during one scene I was able to count 4 locomotives moving in the picture.

How do I find a specific blog?

Specifically looking for Jim Six's blog, and can't seem to find it.  Is there an easy way to search through the blogs?

thanks

Weekend Photo Fun 7/26 - 7/28/13

Didn't see the link so I went ahead and started one.

Here's a NYC Gon that I got used for $8.00 that came with extra detail and weathering.  I thought that it was a good deal.

Alexander Railroad

Ever since a trip to the US last year, where I was fortunate enough to meet some very nice and talented Model Railroaders, I have thought about possibly starting all over again with a US prototype railroad. After a lot of hours on Railpictures.net, the Alexander Railroad in NC caught my eye. The "June Bug" is a modern railroad which still operate small and old switchers that I like. Up until a few years ago, they used Alco S2's in a handsome green and yellow livery, and they still have a 44-tonner in active service!

DOH!!!

I have just discovered a solution to something that was starting to bug me on this forum. When following a particular topic I have, up to now, clicked on the Title and then had to scroll all the way to the bottom of the first page to select what I think was the last page I looked at.
If instead you just click the link in the "Replies" column it takes you straight to the last page you looked at (assuming you are logged in of course).

Am I hust stoopid or is there anyone else out there that hadn' t already figured this out. :-)

MRH on the radio

www.scubaradio.com/listen

go to the bottom of the page and find the ipod download of "Scubaradio 7-13-13 hour 1".  At about the 33 minute mark in the show, the July issue of MRH is mentioned in connection with my article.  The next 11 or so minutes involves myself, MRH, some Boy Scout patches and lost (stolen) dive gear.

Free publicity for the magazine.

Note, I have been involved with the Scubaradio show (off and on the air) for 15 years.

Thomas Yorke's Frijole Flats in N scale by Showcase Minatures.

For those of you familiar with Frijole Flats by Thomas A. Yorke, the station is available in N scale now. Showcase Miniatures has a license to produce his structures in N scale. Depending on popularity of the first kit sales, will determine future kits of Frijole Flats in N scale. Has anyone done the O scale kits?
