MRH Troubleshooting
Post notifications
Just a quickie here. Not getting notifications on replies to my post. I've checked the check box in "Receive content follow-up notification e-mails" but no joy.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance and regards,
Roberto
Why MRH isn't responding to some article queries
We're getting a number of article queries now where the potential author has submitted a query and we try to respond, but our response bounces because their email provider's spam filter refuses to let our response get through.
Downloading problems with Kindle Hire HD
I am unable to download the current or past issues because Adobe Flash Player is not available for my device. I tried downloading for an alternate OS (including Kindle) for the Jan. 2013 issue. The download has been spinning for the last almost 10 minutes, over my high-speed network, with no success.
On a related issue, I had a number of previously saved back issues that I'd like to transfer to my Kindle. But I get an error message that that format is not readable.
What to do on both issues?

Having a hard time downloading.
I am having a hard time with the February issue. I have tried downloading it on 3 different PC's. If downloads about 5% then stalls and the download times out. If it was just one computer, I would think it was my system, but 3 different computers, not so much. All are PC's or Laptops running Windows 7.
Help...Proto 2000 replacement of cracked axel gears
I replaced all the cracked, all four were cracked, axel gears with axel gears from older Atheran engines I've retired and replaced with Atlas, Kato and Proto locomotives. Anyway, after I replaced them, the locomotive lurches like the gears are out of round or don't mess with the tower gears. Am I missing something? I spoke with my local hobby shop owner and he said the older gears would work just fine. The Atheran units ran fine before I removed the gears.
BTW I'm using DCC.
Help please!

Proto 2000 engine trouble
I"m starting to go through my engine collection to see how they're running after a two years of storage.
My collection of Proto 2000 diesels that are "new in the box" are having some mechanical problems. For
example: binding motor in a GP 38-2, another GP 38-2 that will only go in one direction. Has anyone else
had similar conditions with this lot ? Is there a solution to regearing or changing out the parts with aftermarket
items? Most of this equipment is out of warranty. What's the solution?
Jan. Issue
I have been unable to view the Jan. issue. I have used two different computers, two different browsers and two different operating systems, successfully logged in and still can't view the Jan. issue.
Rapido caboose insulated wheels do not like my FT turnouts
I have a few Rapido CP style cabeese for my home layout. They are great to look at, highly detailed with interiors and lighting.
They just don't like my Fast Track turnouts. I know the wheelsets have a plastic sleeve and need to be checked with a NMRA gauge. I do that often.
They problem is that they like to get wedged in the frog, where the point rail forms a guardrail.
My Intermountain wheels roll thru them like water, and never an issue on a 200+ ore car fleet.
