I-pad stops downloading

Magazine stops downloading halfway thru. It happened with the November issue, and is happening with the December issue. All previous issues downloaded correctly. Can any body help with this?

Can I solder contacts

I finally figured out that my contacts on my DCC locos keep wiggling loose, under the gray pin. Can I solder these brass contacts or is there another way to secure these contacts. I'm removing the shell several times a day and bending the contacts so it's only a matter of time before I break something.

Problems with a Walthers #8 curved turnout - was the loco

*****UPDATE****** The problem was the loco - not the turnout.

A have a Walthers #8 left hand curved turnout that is giving me fits. Every time I run my loco (Proto 2000 U30 4 axle) through the turnout it derails at the exact same spot when the turnout is thrown for the left route. It does not derail when the turnout is in the other position. I've rolled a number of cars through the turnout and they don't derail. Any ideas how to solve this or do I need to pull it out and replace it with a non-curved turnout?

Hi,

Can someone, anyone, explain exactly WHAT is being searched using the search box on the upper right of the MRH webpage? I have tried using it to find subjects of posts and authors of posts to no avail. This renders it nearly useless to me. But it does beg the question what IS being searched?

In the October MRH it refers to some articles I have tried to look at. All I can get is

404 - File or directory not found.

The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Am I doing something wrong?

Tortoise Switch Machine, Power Pack "Buzz"

Have my Tortoise switch machines setup on a DC bus configuration using toggle switches to control the switch machines.

The bus is powered using an MRC model train power pack connected to the DC output. Getting feedback, (buzzing sound), from the power pack that increases as the power, (throttle), is increased. (Power to the switch machines is the only thing the power pack is used for)

Switch machines seem to be working fine but the buzzing is a little bit annoying. What is causing this feedback and is there a way to correct this?

Hi Joe, Would it be possible to put a (Go to page ___ )  on the posts. If I know about where a post is I could go to that page faster than paging through 5 pages at a time. Tonight was on page 25 and after returning from a link I was told the page was expired. To go recent posts and enter 25 would be less frustrating. Just an idea. Thanks!
