The Essential City Yard: OP Session on a "concept" switching Layout

Hi all, friends! Last Sunday my friend Marco Trespidi, a Santa Fe fan, calls me to join a short session on his little switching layout in Milan (Italy). When we met another friend joint us, Franco “Pik” Piccardo, an HO modeler from Turin.

I must say the layout itself is worth a few words as it implements a really “minimal” approach I think can be interesting for peoples who like to check his “OP” inclination without first spend much time on a layout.

A must see layout

I came across this today an incredible layout by Larry Smith www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYKChb5mJ6A

Ship It Software

Does anybody have any experience of Ship It software and if so would you recommend it? I am really interested in the card and waybill system but would like some advice before buying it.

Good service

Got my Dremel tool back.  Seems I burned it out a couple of weeks ago by too much dust intake.  (This was the one I won as a doorprize).  Turns out that it had a 2 year warranty, not 1 like I first thought.  All cleaned up and returned in just a bit more than mail time each way.

Nice to see a company stand behindtheir products.

Milestones

Well, it has been a series of milestones passed this week.

1.  I sold my last 2 big DC power packs, leaving me with the small one for Merit Badge Academy's test track

2. I finished rewieghting the LAST of my rolling stock to NMRA or above weight standards (that may not sound like much, until you realize that I am talking about 223 units, and all weighting is hidden inside.)

3.  All rolling stock has metal wheelsets, except a couple that can't due to power pick up issues.  All units have Kadees or equivalent.

Forms for sequential running available?

I'm wondering if there are forms for sequential running available for download, I'd like some for my self and two friends for their layout.
