Correct Position of Brake Gear

I would like to get the position of Brake Gear correct on all my stock (HO)

I recently acquired an old Roundhouse Products kit (it came boxed but in the oldest design of Roundhouse box I have seen here in the UK Yellow and Black) of a 60' Bulkhead Flat Car 1312 Western Pacific with running # WP 1404

I already have a few Bulkhead Flats and examining how other modelers have assembled them what a difference of opinion I found and therefore would like to put them all right

Who Manufactured this HO Steam Locomotive & Tender?

My brother asked me to repair an HO-scale steam locomotive that an older gentleman gave him some time ago. We're curious about the who manufactured it and when. Any ideas?

Shadetree tools

Ok, I'm sure this is gonna be old hat for some but maybe I can help a few newbies like myself.

2 tools I made that save me a bunch of time.

MDC/Roundhouse passenger cars

I have need for at least 4 of the floors/chassis for the old time passenger cars. I believe these were called "overton" also. I could also build what I need if I can find a supplier for the step/platform ends of these cars. They are very similar to what a caboose uses.  I am just beginning the kitbashing "thing" so the only place I knew to look was Walthers catalog and I cannot find anything. Thanks, Randy

MDC/Roundhouse Sand & Gravel Hoppers

Hello everyone, I'm looking for instructions for the MDC Sand  & Gravel Hoppers. I have five of them in kit form that I picked up some time ago and am finally getting around to building them, but without instructions. The basic car is easy to get together, but putting the small mechanism parts together without instructions is going to be pretty difficult.

If anyone has a sheet of instructions that they could fax, email, or mail to me I'd be eternally grateful.

Thanks for any and all help.

Tichy Train flat car kits.

Hi every one,

I'm starting on a couple of the 40' flat car kits and was checking the truck parts. According to the instructions, they are Athearn Bettendorf Trucks.

My supply of Kadee 33" metal wheels are too tight in the side frames, so I was wondering if the standard Inter Mountain brand would fit better.

Has any one replaced the wheels in the Tichy #4021 kit, and if so what wheels fit the best?

Thanks to all,

Drew

Let's talk snow-removal!

Looking at Winter Storm Q or whatever, that is about to hit me here in Iowa, literally about two hours away...I'm thinking of rail plows/blowers...I model the 50's in missouri in early summer, but having snow-removal equipment on a over-grown MOW siding, just waiting for it's chance at timely glory, sounds like a nice touch!

Two Tone Passenger Cars

I have 13 two tone Union Pacific marked cars, I can not seem to find any history on these cars. Sadly the previous owner cut off all the knuckles (?). Would like to classify these cars and place them in their correct lineage. What is two tone color scheme and why did they come about?
