Locos and rolling stock
Whats best paint for Rolling Stock ??
It has been a long time since I painted any cars or locomotives. When Accuflex first came out I loved it, very pleased with how it went on and did not cover details. 15 Plus years later what is the best paint to use ? I really enjoy painting a decaling cars and locos and have many projects stripped needing attention. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi guys your help please I have one of these locos and with the exception of the airhorn, the cab has no other roof details. What other parts do I need to mirror the protype and where do can I source these from. Has anyone got any cab photos to help me with placement?
The front handrail above the anticlimber is broken and I have a part missing can you get replacement plastic handrails?

DCC for MDC 3-truck Shay
I am building an MDC 3-truck Shay (with all NWSL upgrades) using the Sagami can motor. I want to add DCC to the unit for motor control and some lighting options. I know I will have to electrically isolate the can motor from the engine frame. What can motor isolation techniques have some builders used? What experiences have MDC Shay builders run into when adding DCC to the model? What decoders have builders used for DCC?

The brown and blue got a very thin layer of soft mixing white - now drying....
funny thing - the 'line' across the blue car doesen't show in real life - only on the photo?
Replace Atlas RS36 frames with Athearn RS3 frame
I have four Atlas RS36 locos, two each in Norfolk and Danville and in Norfolk, Franklin & Danville for my collection. Plus I have two RS32s to represent future Arkansas & Missouri locos that were rebuilt and painted on the Maryland & Delaware RR in Federalsburg, MD in the mid Eighties before deploying to Arkansas along with some T6 and C420 locos (Tony Hannold owned both railroads at the time).
