Locos and rolling stock
opinions wanted
So, I am preparing the last of a scratch built flat car last night and went to perform what I thought was the last step. I had some nice decals made up with the car reporting marks on them and was going to apply them.
Removing Walthers Streamliners' roofs
How do one remove the Walthers Streamliner coach roofs without leaving any marks on the side of the roof? I want to detail the interior and add LED lighting, but do not want to damage the roof in the process.

What exactly holds on the BLI E9B shell to the chassis?
Have an HO scale Broadway Limited E9B that seems to have a shell that rides a little loose on the chassis. I can see that it is held in place partly by the coupler pockets at each end that extend under the coupler cut levers.
But is there some sort of tab(s) that is supposed to latch the shell onto the chassis? The shell spreads out in the middle above the fuel tank.
N Scale Enthusiast Milw Road Spent Grain Box
Hello everyone
N Scale Enthusiast released a Milw Road Spent Grain Box and I wanted to know if someone knew the build date on these models. And how long the prototypes were in service.
Thanks in advance.

BLI Blue Line issue
Hi,
I have a problem with my Blue Line SD9 loco (I bought it 5 or 6 years ago). It doesn't run smooth. I found out that there is a mechanical problem. My question is, should I replace all gears or motor too? Which gears should I buy, I mean which producer? I don't won't to replace it back with the same. Their gears are bad, very.
Thanks,
Jure, Slovenia

Chains on Tender Trucks
While researching information on details for a loco tender I noticed that older tenders had chains from the ends of the truck frames up to the under body of the tender. What exactly was the purpose of these for, and why didn't other rolling stock have them?
Searching for the right loco
I am in need of a road engine for my layout, and to run at the club on occasion. My layout is set in the late 1920’s—just in time for there to be a boxcab diesel, but otherwise all steam I’ve got a Shay and an 0-6-0 switcher; I need something to haul both freight and passenger service, both at home and at the train club. (The train club’s layout is set later, but old equipment is welcome.)
Running in northern Maine, it might haul a mixed freight, a pure freight train, or a pure passenger consist.
Two decoders enter...
Two sound decoders arrived today - one from ebay, one from Tony's, and a cab conversion kit. Excited!
