Bachmann bringing back an HO scale 2-truck Climax
Bachmann appears prepared to release a 2-truck HO scale Climax in their Spectrum line according to their NMRA 2014 Product Announcement brochure:
What loco am I?
I acquired this plastic 4-6-4 with a 12 axle tender at a train show in the bargain bin for two dollars. I'm thinking that it would be a good place to practice weathering on a steam locomotive before making it into a flatcar load. Does anyone know what model or railroad it may belong to?
Proto 2000 0-6-0 Loco Linkage Problem -- Help Solicited
Probably two years ago when I bought this Walthers proto 2000 heritage USRA 0-6-0 loco with sound the linkage on the right side fell out of the socket on the rear driver. I posted here and did follow up with the Walthers support line - which is a Canadian number for this product, no doubt driven by where I live. Not much help at all.
Reporting marks on a narrow gauge line in the modern era
If a narrow gauge line is still in commercial use in the 1940’s/50, and transfers cargo/passengers to standard gauge lines, would it be assigned standard AAR reporting marks like the Union Pacific (UP) or Norfolk Southern (NS)?
The freelanced two foot gauge North Central is fairly widespread, reaching from Wiscasset, Maine to the Canadian border. There are a few cars, and a couple of switching critters, that are privately owned and mostly stay on industrial track—but can connect to the Maine line.
What to do when.... SP or CN/CP Rail?
Hi all.
What can we do, when we like too many railroad companies?
I mean, my first love (besides French Railwyas - SNCF) is the Southern Pacific, before the Speed Lettering, but CN, and CP Rail have a lot great locos. I am afraid of mixing the two on the same layout.
What do you do when this happens?
Thank you.
MTH SD70ACe
I just recieved the MTH SD70ACe in Mo-Pac paint. The very first brand new engine I have ever bought. A nice looking unit. I opted for the DCC ready version as I will supply my own decoder later down the road. I was reading the instruction leaflet and came across the section of needing to lube the motor prior to running. In my infinite wisedom I find it odd to have to lube a brand new engine. But it is what it is.
Now I'm all about following directions and I will take heed to their instructions. My question is this:
Happy Birthday America!
One of the guys in the club I used to belong to (Westshore Model RR Club, Kingston, NY) asked in Facebook whether any members were coming to the club tonight and bringing Bicentennial power in celebration of America's Birthday. Since we now live hundreds of miles away in South Carolina, that's not possible for me, but I post this in celebration and attending in "spirit". Any of you have Bicentennial or Patriotic units you would like to share?

Locomotive Shutting Down
I have searched the forums and other web sites and can't find a similar problem I am having.
Intermountain SD40-2W, with Tsunami. All was working fine for at least the last year. Did a reset on all of my locomotives to speed match them again and enter the files into decoder pro again, since i lost the computer I was using and could not transfer the files.
Thoughts on Bachmann
Hello.
Here in Portugal, due to Customs, it is kinda hard to get some of the great rolling stock. However I can get some things from Bachmann.
I would like to know what are your thoughts on the newe stuff, like the GP7/9, the GP38, SD40-2, SD70Ace, and so on...
Thank you in advance for your answers.
