Youtube "for kid" recommendations on rotary dumper video
I recently posted a video of my scratchbuilt rotary dumper and indexer on Youtube. It currently has 125 views after a month or so. The really weird part is, when I've shown it to a few friends, viewing it on Youtube, all the recommended/suggested videos are Peppa Pig, nursery ryhmes and other little kid cartoons. I know kids are very smart these days but most are not interested in old Heyl Patterson rotary dumpers or have any skills to make such a thing. I'm wondering if anyone has insight to how my video got associated with kid cartoons.

Need help with a (coaling tower?) structure - where to place what to add?
Good morning everyone. So, here's the story, I picked up this great looking structure a (really) long time ago. It looks to be scratch built from cardstock and basswood. It's a really nice model.
To my uneducated eye, it appears to be a coaling tower and I was planning to use it as such at a small engine servicing depot I'm planning.

Fire Suppression in 1955 Vintage Roundhouse
I'll be detailing the roundhouse's interior on my HO railroad and hope my fellow modelers may have information. How would a mid-1950s western Class 1 railroad with steam and diesel motive power equip their roundhouses, back shops, and other work buildings with fire suppression? Hose reels? Or? Unfortunately my Internet searches have proved fruitless.
Graduated Trestle Set
I have several of these "graduated trestle sets" from years ago and would like to incorporate one in my layout. Does anyone have examples of how you used and landscaped around these trestles?
Thanks,
Grampy

The old IHC concrete plant
I was at a trainshow over the weekend and I found one of the old IHC concrete plants, new in the box for $10.00. I thought, "what the heck, I already have one and this might be good for more kitbash parts."
Soil Color Website
I came across this website for soil colors for the continental United States to use as a resource for choosing a base layout color.
https://www.nrcs.usda.gov/wps/portal/nrcs/detail/soils/survey/geo/?cid=nrcseprd1423827
I assume the 5 cm depth maps would be considered the soil surface.
With all the color variations in monitors and printers, it may not be very realistic but I found it interesting.

First cardstock model
This was my first cardstock model and I think I’m hooked. It looks convincing And it was quick and easy to build. I wish I took more pictures of the process.
Here’s the story:
Uses for the Cricut Explore series of cutters
Here's a few examples of Cricut Explore uses in modeling. Please post your examples too and all questions welcome.

Yard Office
With all the benchwork and track completed this is the first of many buildings needed on the layout.
It's a small yard office located in Northfleet quarry.
The core of the building is made from foam board, with the outer skin in Foamex, which is a solid PVC that's is easy to emboss and carve.
