Ideas for sourcing n-scale aggregate semi/trailer
Does anyone have a lead on any manufactures which might produce something similar to this aggregate semi/trailer in n-scale?
I see these all over the place down here in the Hill Country portion of Texas coming out of the quarries.
Any clever ideas on scratch building the trailer (toilet paper tube maybe)?
Thanks,

Chain link fence material...........
On another post, there was a discussion about material used for Montanan's chain link fence. I believe he found what is known as Tulle Fabric used in dress making.
See these Google links for more info-

Regional differences
I recently drove from New Hampshire to my new home in Florida, and saw many more subtle differences in scenery that I hadn't thought about, and that can help set a location.
For example, highway overpasses are painted different colors in different areas. In some cities, they are made with more concrete and less steel.

Fusee animator anyone?
Stumbled on two manufacturers that make a fusee animator (fusee refers to putting a railroad flare on the track as a warning to other trains or even automobiles if placed over a grade crossing). The two in question are Logic Rail, with 1 LED, and Bakatronics, with 2 LEDs running out of fiber optics. Bakatronics has a demo video on their site for it. I thought the effect looked rather neat, in a whimsical sort of way. Anyone have any experience with these, or with making your own circuit?
Grain Bins
Here are a couple of pics of the types of grain bins you would see on a farm, not necessarily at a Coop or any thing like that

What kit would work for a mining machinery company circa 1950?
Without being a sprawling monster, what kit would work well for a mining machinery company? The location will be somewhat rural and the building wouldn't be a fabricator, but a receiver. Think pumps, large bull-wheels, that sort of thing.

Ho scale curved corrugated metal
I would like to model a round grain silo in ho scale using corrugated metal siding. How can this be made?

Tree-ation with Coastmans Scenery Products
The prototype railroad I'm modeling ran through many miles of forests. So I wanted to grow a sizable forest with tall conifers. I found some nice looking manufactured big conifers from a couple of venders, but the cost of numerous trees would bust my budget. I tried creating my own trees. First efforts were terrible. With a lot of practice, they've improved to mediocre background quality. Its been a tedious, time consuming process. I needed help.
