Painting your groundcover and static grasses

Well most of you might think painting groundcover thats odd..I do it mostly to blend all colors together and get an overall equal color on the layout, no matter what your initial groundcover color is. Can be rocks, grinded kitty litter or whatever.. Basecoat with RAL7013, dabbed on, followed with RAL7006 a bit Frary way of wet drybrush, a coat with a brownish RAL 8025 followed with 1019 to blend it all together..

Campbell's Barber Shop

So I have been reading and learning about how folks paint their structures, how to best build a wood kit, etc etc etc.

I built the Campbell's Picken's place first, and I wasn't really all too happy with it. I hadn't worked on the painting techniques and what not, and I need to do some work on it now to fix my lack of knowledge messups.

Painting Acrylic Fence Supports

I just installed an 8" high 1/4" thick acrylic glass fence around the front edge of my sectional layout, partly to keep rolling stock from falling off if derailed, and partly to protect it during moves.

Currently the vertical fence supports stick up above the fascia approximately 7.5" and are bare wood. They are 1 x 2 pieces with a 1/4" routed groove.

HELP WITH KIT BASHING WALTHER"S NEW ERA MINE

I have a diagram of a kit bash project that appeared in Model Railroader under the Virginian or Turtle Creek Project. However it is to small to read the fractional numbers associated with the cut lines. Can anyone help me with a bigger diagram?

Barbed wire fence

Hey all,

I'm back again with another video, this time I'm showing you how I made a small HO scale barbed wire fence.

It's only small but one of those details that pull a scene together and give it that realistic feel. Hope you like it.

HO Scale Skylights

Good evening to all. A quick question to see if anyone would have an idea where I could get HO scale skylights for a warehouse? I would even build them if need be.

Thanks

Custom signs and labels in N Scale

I am currently putting together structures for my layout. They come with "dry transfers" (I'm not sure what that means exactly) but I think I'd rather personalize the town a bit and my own businesses inside each building. At this scale I am unsure of what would be the best way of doing that. Normal printer paper seems it'd be too thick. What are my options?

New job for an old friend

I found I need to cut some shingles today, and a recent discussion had informed me of micromark's new miter box. That in turn reminded me of this:

Anybody remember these?
