RailPro turn outs
Hi guys,
I intend to run my new layout using Ring Eng RailPro system which I have just purchased. Since I had no DCC "anything" I decided this was best for me.
My question is:
I would like to use the Proto87 easy turnout kits as I will need over 40 for my layout. But it seems to me that with RailPro being a DC system that insulfrogs are the way to go. That way I do not have to worry about powering the frog in any form or fashion... EVER!
Current Draw of Parked Locos
In DCC do parked engines draw any current if they are non sound decoders and all the lights are off?

MRC Prodigy Express, can I use Prodigy Advance throttles?
I have a new MRC Prodigy Express system in the box while will be wired in hopefully by next week at the latest.
It comes with only one cab/throttle/controller/whatever you call it, can I use one made for the MRC Prodigy Advance? I'm having a devil of a time finding extra ones that are marked for the specific system I have...
Programming a Genesis GP15-T
Hi,
I have gotten my paws on a Genesis GP15-T, and it runs rather... good.
I just would very much like it to rev up before it starts moving - as is, it'll start moving for a few seconds before the prime mover even leaves idle...
Thankyou for your time

DCC engine showing short when placed on main line with Digitrack
Engine running fine until hitting a rail spike that poped up in center of rails and tried to place it back in service but started the DCS50 flashing indicating short. Placed other engines on track and ran fine. What is wrong with my loco?

Switch stands
Hi everyone. After a spell in N Scale and UK 009, I am back in HO. I am laying the track for my new layout using Peco code 83 and intend to manually switch points. However, I remember seeing some scale shape switch stands some time ago. All I can find now are the low level Caboose Hobbies ones. Can anyone point me to where I might find the tall type with lamp signals on them?
Thanks
David

Vertical easements and rigid framed steam locos
I know this sort of relates to the discussion about artificially distressing track, but I did a quick search and did not see any specifics for vertical easements. My interest is related to N scale FreeMo modules in particular, and the fact that we may have many different types of locos and rolling stock passing through.

12v 5 pin latching relay for led point indication
Hi all,
I have hit a wall trying to figure out what to do. I am using twin solenoid surface mounted point motors, wired up to the control panel location, and also have SPDT momentary on-off-on toggles ready to flip my points. But I want a red/green led to indicate which way the point is thrown. I believe a latchjng relay is used to make sure power continues to the led after the toggle itself bounces back to off. I have a 5 pin relay, I have the toggles, I even have the points wired up to the panel, and I think I will need twin color led.
