RailPro Troubleshooting
Hello everyone! I am attempting to set up a RailPro LM-3S in a steam locomotive, but I’m facing some major difficulties. If any of the RailPro experts out there could help me, that would be great.
NCE Cab issues
Just encountered an issue after years of reliable service. I plugged in my NCE Powercab and it cycles on then off over and over again. The red light on the panel blinks on when the CAB powers on but goes off again. I can't find a short, but I can't figure out what else it could be.

DC/DCC
I have DC now and I'm thinking about switching to DCC is it as simple as buying new DCC equipped engines and transformer or is there more to it?

Seems like a lot of people are having trouble with electrons. In particular with the electrons in DCC circuits. However this doesn’t preclude a number of people who are using DC circuits.
DCC complicates diagnosis of electrical problems. A simple device can go a long way at finding a trouble spot in track, switches, motors and on and on.
electrical issue
This past I reworked a section of my track arrangement.When testing the new section it worked fine but the old section was dead.I ran a wire from the right rail on the old section to the terminal screw the right rail in the new section is wired to.Everything worked great.
Bachmann Sound Value boards function outputs?
Figured I would ask here as I can't seem to find any info on the web. I know the SV decoders are stripped down Soundtraxx Tsunami's with only basic functions. My question is: Does anybody know or has tried to see if F5 and F6 have an output somewhere on the board. If you look at one upside down, there are a set of small circular solder pads on the bottom of the board.
Improve Kato Electrical Pickup

I have been having the hardest time getting my Kato F3 Units running. Here is what I have, all are equipped with Digitrax DN163 KIB decoders. All were once part of an ADVANCED Consist. I have reset CV 008 to 008, received "Good" on the throttle .
Ops mode programming doesn't work on Tsunami 2 with extended address?
I have what is apparently an odd problem: I can't program CVs in Ops mode when the locomotive has an extended address.
Atlas Genset Decoder Killer
Hello all,
I'm new to this forum and have a problem/question. I have an HO Atlas Trainman NRE Genset locomotive that is a decoder killer! It was running nicely for several years on my NCE layout, until one day it suddenly went into reverse by itself and stopped dead. I replaced the decoder and put it back on the layout, it ran for a bit, suddenly reversed itself and died again. My Decoder Tester says both decoders are now DOA. I don't see any obvious shorts in the loco wiring. Any ideas what went wrong? Thanks. -Bill
Lionel TMCC work on O gauge DCC
Hey guys I have question and thus far can't find an answer
I have a New O gauge MTH diesel Loco that can be run either in DCC or DCS depending on what position the switch is placed. It also has the option of being run on 2 rail or 3 rail track depending on switch position again.
