walthers 130 foot turntable with acm

i recently just bought a new turntable from walthers and then also bought a acm , advanced control module, but the problem i have run into is the turntable control box works real good, but having troubles is getting the acm to communicate with the turntable, i have read the instructions ten times , and tried to get it to read in the learn program, it is suppose to jog the bridge when it accepts the program for track number, but i have tried for two days now and cant figure it out, i have a digitrax system if that makes a difference, i am fairly good with electronic boards on layout, bu

Atlas HO HH600 - DCC settings always reset on starting

Hi all,

I am a DCC newbie and have a problem with an Atlas HO HH600 with factory QSI sound.

Every time I place it on the layout it resets back to the default short address 3, and forgets the long address that I set up in the previous session. I  also can't work out how to make the headlights directional.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards,

David

Green/white LEDs for class lights

Does anyone make them? I see red/green and red/yellow but I haven’t found green/white.

choosing a standard decoder

I have been thinking of changing over to one brand of decoder for my locomotive fleet. I am thinking this would make keeping all functions set up the same an easier task. I am also thinking that this would help with speed matching a lot.

Touch screen DCC throttle

There has been lamenting on here that DCC throttles are very old school and not touch screen like RailPro ... well look at this:

No affiliation with ESU, just wanted to point out a touch screen DCC throttle with icons for locos and function keys is here! You RailPro guys, look out ...

Digitrax SDN136PS decoder volume

I bought one of these decoders to install in my Walthers SW1 (old production).  This was my first hard wired decoder install and it was easier then I imagined it would be.  I'm no longer afraid of anything that's not plug and play.

Filling a gap at a rail joint

A friend is building a layout. He's challenged with severe arthritis so a couple of us have been helping him. I can't do as much as I'd like because I have a job and others are retired. The gentleman laying his code 100 flex track is 84 and has some health issues. Suffice to say that some of the track laid is a little rough. One location on a curve we were getting constant derailments.

finding a decoder

Hi ..is there a good website, user friendly for dcc sound decoders,  Its a bit overwhelming ..thanks

Painting your track

Hey guys and gals, help me out here a bit because I must be missing something. I have been searching the web for information on weathering track and have found many videos and such that recommend painting the track with rattle can spray paint such as flat black or camo brown or something similar. But, correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't that make flex track no longer flexible?? Once it's painted, whether it's done before the track is laid down or after, that's it. You can't pull the track up and reuse it somewhere else. What am I missing here?

Wiring a Layout for DCC and DC

I need to wire my layout for both DCC and DC. Plus a programming track. I had a friend help me with the wiring.

The DC and DCC need to be completely separate so there is no possibility of having both of them one.
